I've been googling recipes for a pork loin I bought on sale and I came across this one on allrecipes.com
Amazing Pork Loin in the Slow Cooker
INGREDIENTS:
1 (2 pound) pork loin
1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix
1 cup water
3/4 cup red wine
3 tablespoons minced garlic
3 tablespoons soy sauce
*I followed the recipe to a "T" with the exception of adding a tbsp of Worcestershire sauce and substituting regular soy sauce for low sodium soy sauce.
*I also used a pork loin instead of a tenderloin because tenderloins don't belong in a crock pot in my opinion ;)
DIRECTIONS:
1. Place pork tenderloin in a slow cooker with the contents of the soup packet. Pour water, wine, and soy sauce over the top, turning the pork to coat. Carefully spread garlic over the pork, leaving as much on top of the roast during cooking as possible.
Sprinkle with pepper, cover, and cook on high setting for 4 hours. Serve with cooking liquid on the side as au jus.
*I also added flour to the liquid afterwards to make the gravy shown in the photo.
Overall, this is a very easy recipe to put together. I give it 3.75 out of 5 stars in terms of flavor, if you like red wine then you will REALLY love this recipe. I'm not a wine drinker so though it was good, you can still taste a hint of wine and if your not use to it, it might throw you off. Also, it is so tender you can pull it apart with your fork which is always a plus. If you're looking for a different yet easy recipe to try I would definitely recommend this.
Enjoy!
