So here are some creative ideas on how to celebrate Valentine's Day without breaking the bank!
1) Make your own card
I know it sounds a little cheesy, but why not try it. Go all out and let your creative juices flow. Cut out words from magazines, use memorable photos, find a poem online or simply ask her/him to be your Valentine by circling YES or NO.

2) Cook a special dinner
Looking to impress your man? Throw on a cute apron, light up the grill and cook his favorite steak (if you're new to grilling look up some YouTube videos so you don't burn dinner..lol). Not only will he enjoy the role reversal, but it'll be a total turn on for him too.
Looking to impress your lady, bake her favorite cookies or make chocolate covered strawberries from scratch. You'll be surprised at how easy baking is and she will be totally swept away by your thoughtfulness to impress her in the kitchen.
3) Pick your own flowers
Granted, I know this will not apply to everyone, especially if you're like me and live in a state where it's always freezing and everything is dead outdoors, but if you can find wild flowers in your area take a nice little walk and collect them and put them in a vase. Not only are they different and beautiful, but it's very thoughtful as well.

4) Do a chore
Not your own chores, THEIR chores!
Ladies, try something like detailing his car or cleaning up the garage.
Men, a load of laundry (to include folding and putting away) goes a looooong way!
5) Make a Mixed CD
Download all their favorite songs to include the "our" song. www.listentoyoutube.com is a great site that takes songs on YouTube and converts them to a MP3 for FREE!

6) Breakfast in Bed
There's no better way to get your Valentine's Day started then to surprise your loved one with breakfast in BED!

7) Set the mood
Ladies, wear something sexy and offer to give your man a 20 minute back massage.
Men, starting a bubble bath, lighting candles and turning on the music will almost guarantee for a "very nice evening" if you get what I mean.

8) Say I love you
Sounds simple enough right? Why not kick it up a notch and use lipstick to write I love you on the bathroom mirror or leave an I love you note on their steering wheel before they head to work in the morning. Get creative with it...the more "surprise" I love you's they find, the more meaningful it becomes.
